What is it?The NRA Whittington Center contains some extremely rugged terrain in their Backcountry Training Area, much of which require horses to maneuver through effectively. The Military and Law Enforcement Academy's 3 day Military Mountain Packing Course takes the best of existing mountain packing techniques from decades of use from backcountry hunters and combines it to fit a military mission in austere environments. This course is especially helpful for units deploying to or operating in mountainous environments. Units will come away from this course with a strong understanding of an additional method of insertion. This course is also offered in conjunction with existing Military/LE Courses.
