Jon Weiler

CEO, Professional Marksmen Inc.

Professional Marksmen Inc.’s CEO, Jon Weiler, is a former U.S. Army Sniper has several years experience working with long range cartridges and focusing them towards military implementation. In 2003, Jon took part in the invasion of Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division as part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3/325 Airborne Infantry Regiment, and spent the greater part of his time operating out of the urban environment of Baghdad. From 2003-2004, his unit gained valuable operating experience in this environment working in small teams for extended periods of time.

Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Army, Jon began his international instructor career with Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc., that produce the M107 .50 BMG, Semi-Automatic Rifle that is utilized by our military and many allied countries worldwide. During his 3.5 years with the company, Jon developed a comprehensive long range shooting and weapon maintenance course for the Barrett Rifle line. He worked with militaries and law enforcement personnel from the United States, Mexico, Taiwan, Singapore, Greece, The Netherlands, and Israel. Jon has been featured in several printed publications, on the Discovery Channel’s Future Weapons, the History Channel’s High Impact: M16, and the Outdoor Channel’s Shooting Gallery.

Jon founded Professional Marksmen Inc. in 2007 and currently instructs for the company while managing the corporate growth.

Sean Dickson

Lead Small Arms Instructor, Professional Marksmen Inc.

Sean Dickson served in the United States Army for nine years attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class with the 3rd Special Forces Group Airborne out of Fort Bragg, NC. He was chosen as the “Honor Graduate” for his basic training platoon. He attended the U.S. Army Airborne School at Ft. Benning, GA, and graduated from the U.S. Army’s Ranger School, with a peer evaluation rating of number one. He served as a team leader on a Recon Scout platoon, with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Iraq invasion of 2003, conducting over 100 dismounted patrols and earning the Army Commendation Medal with a “V- device” for Valor.

He then attended the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course, graduating as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant. While there, he took the instructor training course, was trained in conducting/leading patrols, survival and evasion (SERE), trauma medicine and foreign language (Arabic). While serving as a Senior Medical Sergeant for an A-Team in 3rd SFG (A), Sean Dickson deployed to Afghanistan in support of OEF XI. During this time he conducted over eighty mounted/dismounted patrols, built a firebase aid station capable of handling mass casualty situations, treated and cared for over forty-five, full time Afghan employees and their families as well as the fourteen men on his “ODA”.

SFC Dickson created and implemented a training program with the local Afghan border patrol and police units in Mesar E-Sharif, Afghanistan. These soldiers were trained in basic rifle marksmanship, small unit tactics, urban combat tactics, vehicle checkpoints/search and first aid, equaling a total of 200 local personnel trained. For these efforts he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Sean Dickson has attended Blackwater’s Advanced Pistol Marksmanship Course, and Gryphon Group’s Mobile Force Protection Course. He holds licenses in the use and instruction of the X-26 Electromuscular Disruption Device (Air Taser) and Tactical Oleoresin Capsicum Spray. He also attended the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course. He is a licensed EMT and is the current owner/operator of the Combat Fitness Training Facility in Birmingham, AL.

Additional Instructors

Professional Marksmen Inc. will also contract individual instructors to assist in our leads during larger or more intimate training sessions. Our additional instructors each have a diverse background with a specific skill-set in the material covered. We pride ourselves with having some of the best in the business and are current and former operators of the highest level. They undergo a very thorough screening process, which allow them to demonstrate their individual knowledge and skills. It is very important to us that we provide the best for both them and for our clients. Because of the size of our operations, we are able to offer the most qualified and experienced for every course requirement
