Professional Marksmen, Inc. is led by Jon Weiler who has several years of experience as a long range shooter in both the military and civilian fields. Jon began his long range career as a sniper in the U.S. Army, working with the Barrett M107 .50 caliber rifle during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jon took part in the invasion of Iraq as a Scout/Sniper for the 82nd Airborne Division. He spent 2003-2004 in Iraq and left the Army towards the end of 2004.

Upon the end of his service, Jon began his instructor career at Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc. as their Training Manager. During the three years at the company, Jon developed a comprehensive Barrett Armorer Course which is utilized by military, law enforcement, and civilian owners. Jon then went further to develop long range .50 caliber shooting courses based around the Barrett Rifle platforms: Barrett Long Range Basics and Barrett Tactical Long Range. Jon has instructed foreign and domestic military, law enforcement personnel, and recreational long range shooters. Jon has also developed courses just for our long range women shooters.

Jon has been featured in Soldier of Fortune, VHP Magazine, The Barrett Annual, The Discovery Channel’s “Future Weapons,” and The Outdoor Channel’s “Shooting Gallery.”
